The college and the hospital run under guidance of Surendra Hemant Education & Social Welfare Society , Which is a registered entity under the Society Registration Act.XXI of 1860. The managing committee of the Institute and hospital consists of noted medical specialist, scholar and expert from different branches of knowledge. Besides this, the institute has a permanent panel of visiting professors and consultants, all leading names in their respective fields.

Surendra Hemant Education &Social Welfare Society : is a multipurpose organization registered under the Societies Registration Act. XX1, of 1860. The main objective is to serve and work with weaker and neglected section as well as minorities communities for the benefit of themselves for their upliftment from poverty line, and rehabilitation, preferential areas are to impart training in medical field to ensure their hygienic condition and diminish their mortality rate.

It lays special emphasis on the development of the integrated personality imparting man making and character building education, turning out awakened and responsible citizens with deep social concern .

Profile of Sri Surendra Prasad Singh – Honorable Patriot, Freedom Fighter and a Social Worker : Sri Surendra Prasad Singh, a freedom fighter, has dedicated himself entirely for the cause of education development in the state of Bihar, and has always devoted himself in the area since his childhood. He first startup an Engineering College in the Mahna village, which later subsequently shifted to Bhagalpur after its adoption by the Government of Bihar. He also established the Government Polytechnic at Mahna which was shifted to Singhlole in Begusarai because of his contribution; it is now; known as Mahna Polytechnic of Begusarai. Sri Surendra Babu also established another educational institution, an ITI in Mahna village. He has since then, established a chain of Primary School, Middle School and High School for Boys and Girls in the same village. All these institutions were subsequently adopted by the Government of Bihar.

His main emphasis has always been Children Welfare with Quality Education.

In addition, he contributed in setting up a 20 bedded Government Hospital which was never the less a Herculean task then, he also got a Nationalized bank, post office opened in college premises of Mahna college and these have now been running successfully since its inception.
